Description:   This dataset was produced in August 2021 by Caslys Consulting Ltd. for the Capital Regional District Urban Land Cover Classification Project. Refer to the PDF report (CRD Urban Land Cover Classification 2017/2019 Summary Report) for background and details related to this dataset. - Esri shapefile derived from the Hectares BC initiative that defines a one-hectare grid across the study area. Within each hectare cell, attributes are included to define the 2005, 2011 and 2019 proportions of tree cover and proportions of impervious surfaces as class bins. In addition to defined bins of percent cover, fields are also included that define the number of classes that a cell changed between the 2011 and 2019 time period. For example, A transition from the 0-5% bin in 2011 to the 10-25% bin in 2019 indicates a shift of 2 classes over this period.
